10.Apr.02--Why the new site design? It's simple. We've spent the past year talking to Sun.com users to understand what you want and how we can improve the site. What we learned led us to make some significant changes on Sun.com to better serve you in your efforts to research, compare, buy, and get support for Sun products, services, and solutions.

In the redesign, we focused our attention on four key areas:

A more intuitive navigation scheme to help you quickly get to where you need to go.


A simpler content structure to help you get information and complete tasks without distraction.


Integration of product information from iPlanet.com to give you easy access to the complete Sun[tm] Open Net Environment (Sun[tm] ONE) platform.


A bold, new visual design.
The new site design reflects a commitment to simplicity: Bold, plainspoken, and direct. Because that's what makes it easier for you to make decisions and get your job done. Our aim is to give you the information you need in the way you need it with a minimum of hype.

Take a look at the changes to the site and let us know what you think. Though our QA team members have not left their desks in weeks, wide scale changes to a site of this magnitude are never flawless.
