Jeremy Suttonis an internationally recognized portrait artist and Painter master who runs computer art workshops and classes throughout the world. The author of four hooks, two video training series, and two DVD tutorial sets, he is a featured platform speaker at prestigious international conferences such as SIGGRAPl I and Macworld. jeremy, known for his lively, knowledgeable, and entertaining teaching style, has also taught on the faculty of institutes such as the Academy of Art College, San Francisco, San Francisco State University and the American Film Institute, Los Angeles. Jeremy's articles, artwork, and tutorials have been featured in numerous international magazines.
Currently a resident of San Francisco, Jeremy was born in London in 1961 and has drawn since he was three years old. He has a degree in Physics from Oxford University, and studied art at the Ruskin School for Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford University, and at the Vrije Akademie, the Hague, in the Netherlands. Jeremy has specialized in painting portraits since the early '80s and has shown his work in both solo and group shows. jeremy was first introduced to using the computer as a fine art tool in 1991 and has been exploring the digital medium ever since. Today he paints commissioned portraits of individuals as well as family groups. Subjects who have sat for portraits by Jeremy include Willie L. Brown, Jr., former Speaker of the California State Assembly and former Mayor of San Francisco; Giles 1 lenderson, Master of Pembroke College, Oxford University; and Sir Richard Branson, the Founder and Chairman of the Virgin Group of Companies.
